Update on response to the case of Regina v Dawe – A35 Chideock - Westbound: A barrister has been instructed to review the case and provide a legal opinion, including the potential for this judgement to be applied to other cases. Due to the complicated nature of this case, the Dorset Safety Camera Partnership has requested further clarification before making a formal announcement on the way forward. Whilst it is appreciated that there is considerable public interest in this matter, it is essential for all concerned that any formal announcement has been fully considered. A further statement will be released before the end of February, 2008. Adrian Whiting, Assistant Chief Constable for Dorset Police and Chair of the Dorset Strategic Road Safety Partnership |
