What is the Act?
The Act gives right of access to all types of recorded information held by a public body and also sets out exemptions from that right. What information will you supply? You will be informed whether the Partnership holds the information requested, whether you may have access to that information or whether that information is exempt under the Act. How do I request the information? You may request information by completing the FOI Request Form and sending it to the FOI Manager by either post or by email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Publication Scheme The Act additionally requires that we publish a Scheme that sets out the information we intend to pro-actively publish as a matter of course. The purpose of the publication scheme is to ensure that the maximum amount of information is available to the public without the need to make a specific request. Do I have to pay? In most cases there will be no charge for information supplied, but charges may be levied in certain circumstances e.g. multiple requests, lengthy retrieval process, translation charges etc. Can I appeal if I am told it is exempt or I am not happy with the response? In the first instance any member of the public may appeal in writing (within 28 days of receiving the disputed response from the FOI Manager) to the Operations Project Manager at the Dorset Safety Camera Partnership. |
